I studied Fashion and Textile Design at Winchester School of Art and gained a BA Hons Degree in 1980.  I worked with design businesses based in London and after having my family I made a career change into the Education Sector working with Children and Young People with SEND.  On retiring,  I have returned to my roots of painting and designing.  

I am inspired by the natural environment, where I am at my happiest taking photos, sketching and painting en plain air.  I am fascinated with the patterns presented by natural forms, where the fleeting magical moment of light and shade, colour, textures and weather conditions all come together to present that magical moment in time of great beauty and harmony.
